Increase Public Awareness of Avian Influenza In Developing Countries

Winrock International is a non-profit organization that is working with USAID to increase public awareness on Avian Influenza in developing countries. USAID is interested in raising public awareness on the health impact for humans, on farm bio-security, worker health protection, and food safety.

Winrock is looking for volunteers to travel on short 2 - 3 week assignments to Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan) to train people in local government on how to raise public awareness of Avian Influenza. And more directly we want to raise farmers' awareness on Avian Influenza and its potential effects on both animals and humans. Please let me know if you would like to participate in this. I look forward to speaking with you further about this very important topic.
